You may complain if you believe that I have not handled your personal information properly or have not complied with data-protection law.

Please explain:

  • What happened.

  • The personal information involved.

  • Relevant dates.

  • Why you are concerned.

  • What outcome you would like me to consider.

I will acknowledge receipt within 30 days.

I will take appropriate steps to investigate and respond, keep you informed where necessary, and communicate the outcome without undue delay.

The Information Commissioner’s Office is the United Kingdom’s independent regulator for data protection and information rights.

You have the right to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

You do not need my permission to do this, and using my internal complaints process does not remove your right to contact the regulator.

The Information Commissioner’s Office generally recommends first giving the organisation an opportunity to respond. It may ask you to provide copies of your complaint, my response and relevant supporting documents.
